- Even if I'm not running a Dell machine the self extracting devicedriver
- S3V132.EXE seems to do the trick. Now both Freecell and Mosaic alpha 3
- are working fine.

- Subject: Problem with Eudora
-
- I am using Trupet Winsock over a SLIP connection, and I am having
- a problem with Eudora. At some point, Eudora locks up and claims that
- it is waiting on a blocking socket call that never returns. This has
- happened both when it is just checking mail, and at least once when
- I was sending mail. During the mail send, Eudora logged into the
- server and then got hung up during the actual message transfer. At this
- point it becomes impossible to exit Eudora, and after I terminate it
- with the task manager, when I restart Eudora it believes that there is
- still another copy running.
- This does not seem to affect other applications using winsock at the same
- time.
-
- I thought that I have the MSS, and MTU values too large, but the
- problem seems to be exactly the same. I have used the mail program
- included in Win/QVT, and although it is not as full featured, I have
- not had it lock-up on me.
-
- I am using Truptet winsock 1.0, Cello, Mosaic, WinQVT, and other
- winsock applications, and they seem well behaved.
-
- Do I have a configuration problem on my end, or could this scenario
- occur because of a slow server or other incompatabilities.
-
- Also, I really would like to get X-windows running on my system.
- I have seen some messages about a P.D. program, but I am willing
- to pay bucks (quid, lira, francs, can $, aus $, etc.) for something
- that works.
-
- Any information would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
- Wesley
